I was just over here in the final stages of editing a service-oriented tips story when I happened to notice by accident that a reputable-seeming HARO source lifted her entire tip almost verbatim from a web page that my story was targeting for competition. (Yes, I emailed the source to call her out.)
I haven’t been running my HARO responses through a plagiarism checker but it looks like I might need to start. Do other writers do this?

I’m working on a story about booking winter travel — what to expect, where to go, where not to go, etc. I’m looking for travel experts (not affiliated with specific properties) qualified to speak on overall trends, safety, deals, etc.
