All in a day's work
I'm talking about pools.
Today’s reporting involves taking a dip in a Beverly Hills pool… and that’s a pretty good day at the office.
For all the slings and arrows of freelance life, I love a career as a travel and lifestyle writer (formerly longtime event industry editor) most of all for the exposure it provides to incredible experiences.
It’s a ticket beyond the velvet ropes, into the board room, onto the plane, backstage, behind the wheel. (Who wants to hear about the time I got to pilot a blimp over Manhattan on my birthday in the early ‘00s?)
Certainly, over-the-top travel opportunities are among my most cherished work experiences. I have gotten a chance to visit some of the world’s most eye-popping hotels, and I’m so grateful. It doesn’t get old. A spectacular hotel pool is as close as I come to nirvana.
