I was traveling on an expertly organized press trip last week (hats off to the publicist for her successful efforts to create a seamless experience — it ain’t easy!). And I’m back in the saddle now, ready to start a new week in what feels like a larger period of transition.
In just a few weeks’ time, I’ve said goodbye to several long-running projects, and find myself replacing them with new (or returning or revamped) opportunities. (So many new opportunities, in fact, that I’m suddenly slammed!)
I did an informal straw poll among travel and lifestyle media friends, and an overwhelming number of people in my network seemed to be sharing that same experience right now. There’s a sense of change in the air.
Anyone else feeling that vibe?
Open Press Opportunities
For Hotels Above Par, I’m rounding up the best ski resorts in the world (unique and boutique over mega-resorts) and I’m open to pitches.
For Allrecipes, I’m always open to hearing about home cooks to profile as subjects for my bimonthly budget grocery column (this familiar face serves as an example of what it looks like).

I put up my Halloween decorations yesterday! Feeling the spirit, though it was way too hot to go to the pumpkin patch as planned so we had to postpone (#LAfallproblems).
To that end, if you don’t already own one of those cinnamon-scented brooms from Trader' Joe’s, treat yo self. It’s sparking so much joy in my living room alongside the iconic TJ’s sugar skull succulent planter.
