Can I still say happy new year?
I'm back!
Thanks to a combination of strategy and luck, we managed to stay COVID negative and got to go on our fabulous Bora Bora vacation. It was everything I dreamed of and more (shout out Four Seasons Bora Bora for a sublime experience!) for a blowout 10th wedding anniversary celebration…. only 18 months behind schedule.
Now the twins are back in school, and I can return to my baseline of chronic worry about our family’s exposure profile amid the omicron surge. Womp womp.
The truth is, reentry has been challenging! I slept for a full 24 hours after my overnight flight home this weekend, and I’ve been on the struggle bus this week. I’ve felt every. single. word I’ve written, like deep in my bones. Zoom camera off for sure. Every time I get up (or sit down, or move around), I let out a big sigh. But I’m getting there!
If you’re also still getting back up to full speed for a new year, I’m right there alongside you cheering you on! We got this. (Plus, it’s already Friday eve, so…)
