It’s holiday gift guide season, and that means writers’ inboxes are more crowded than ever. My peers and I are each getting many hundreds of pitches a day; you know this, and it's humbling when you're just not breaking through.
This can be an especially frustrating exercise when you know you're pitching a product in a very crowded space flooded with similar items that are hard to differentiate from one another — say, a wardrobe staple or a skincare product.
