Wow. Thank you all so much for your incredible kindness in response to yesterday’s post in which I shared about my ailing cat. It’s so nice to know how many caring people are out there among my readers — and also how many fellow devoted animal lovers. I love this community.

Switching gears back to the work stuff. I’m here today with an approach that could really help you break through if you’ve been hitting walls pitching a product that you know is… well, kinda boring.

This can be an especially frustrating exercise when you know you're pitching a product in a very crowded space flooded with similar items that are hard to differentiate from one another — say, a wardrobe staple or a skincare product.

You might feel like you've tried everything to get that (admittedly) ho-hum idea to stand out. But have you tried this easy subject line/positioning tweak? You might find it makes all the difference:
