My best advice for PR pros
Shout out to Comm Oddities PR for featuring me on its social channels and website! Most of all, I am grateful that the team made a contribution to my charity of choice, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, in honor of the feature.
Here’s a snippet of the Q&A:
1. Tell us about your current occupation and how you landed such a fabulous job.
I’m a full-time freelance travel and lifestyle writer and I’d call it my dream job. But I got here through adversity: a layoff that turned out to be the nudge I needed. (I bet many people can relate to this!)
2. What's your best advice for PR professionals?
Foster relationships. Sincere ones. Meaningful ones. When it’s transactional, everyone knows.
You can read the rest here. (And it would be wonderful if you are also moved to donate to the L.A. Regional Food Bank, which serves close to 1 million people monthly, one-quarter of whom are kids.)
Open Press Opportunities
I’m looking for an organizational expert or related pro who can talk about tips/hacks/strategies for packing necklaces for transporting them safely.
I’m working on a variety of roundups featuring new venues in San Diego. These venues should be new within the last six months and available for event booking. Please include with your pitch a link to interior photos as well as capacity information for full or partial buyout of the space.
