This is the worst pitching mistake you can make in December — and it's a huge missed opportunity
I’m back from a great work trip in Las Vegas and hustling away on the final deadlines of the year. What is everyone else doing?!
Welcome to the weird in-between season when no one is entirely clear what is happening. It’s the holidays, but are we all working? Are we all kinda half working while drinking eggnog at our desks and shopping online? Are we not at our desks at all?
I’m going on a bucket-list French Polynesia trip late next week and then I’ll be back at my desk to close out the year. I generally do not travel much during the second half of December, and I use the time in part to strategize my business and personal goals for the new year. I am also working in the traditional sense — filing plenty of stories — though end-of-year budgets can be wonky and OOO messages are prevalent. I know not everyone is doing the same, and I have some colleagues and friends scattered around the world already.
My best advice to publicists still trying to meet goals, make clients happy, and earnestly pitch at this time of year?
