Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: AI.
I’ll start by saying I’m no AI expert (although I have interviewed some of those for stories). But I think that my rather naive perspective is useful right now, because it’s so relatable: Many of us are generally aware enough about AI to know that it is here, it is and will continue to affect our jobs, and there is no stopping it, and that inspires some degree of fear.
But in the last couple of weeks, I decided to take a proactive posture to familiarize myself with it (overriding my natural instincts to bury my head in the sand as long as possible). Here’s what I’ve learned off the bat as an industry veteran but AI novice, and 5 ways I’m actually using it at work right now.
